Dear Astronauts,
Today we present to you with great pride our Deliver Us Mars 2.0 update that has improved a wealth of issues and addressed feedback from our players in the PC, PlayStationÂź 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game. In secret, through the challenging waves of being an independent studio, weâve been focused on making sure this update is the greatest weâve done so far. We want to make it clear that we've heard you in the tweaks weâve made, and we also have some exciting new features as a way to celebrate this huge milestone. We are very thankful for all your comments and the amount of heartwarming messages you send us every day. This update is for you, the players, as you are more important to us than anyone else, and we hope you enjoy what weâve accomplished here.
Hereâs a snippet of the long list of prominent issues and fixes delivered:
- Cinematic pause functionality.
- Enhanced lighting passes throughout the entire game (levels and cinematics).
- The climbing system now shows a deflect reaction when hitting an unclimbable surface, additionally, it will not allow the player to slam into the air.
- Improved virtual texture loading times on landscapes and other assets.
- Q and E to roll rebind and WASD individual keys rebind instead of presets.
- HDR Support.
- A broad wealth of improvements across textures, animations, and general quality of life.
As a gift, we want to introduce you to some really cool features and we hope you enjoy them as much as we do:
- Raytracing Translucency is now available throughout the game
- A very exciting Photo Mode has been added!

New Features
- [Console-Specific] New Graphics Mode âQualityâ sets the target framerate to 30 at 2-4k resolution.
- [XSX|S-Specific] Micro-stutters are reduced.
- [PC-Only] Ray Tracing Translucency.
- [PC-Only] HDR Support.
- [PC-Only] Epic Game Store Achievements and Overlay support has been added.
- Photo Mode.
- Some chapters now start in new cinematics for more natural level transitions.

- Improved readability of all astrochats in the game.
- Improved construction room visuals in Chapter 1.
- Added NPC blinking to astrovan ride in Chapter 1.
- Music iterations in Chapter 9.
Notable BUG fixes
- [PC-Only] Fixed a crash when switching from FSR to DLSS.
- Reduced DX12 renderer stutters throughout the entire game.
- Improved virtual texture loading times on landscapes and other assets.
- Improved level loading times.
- Stability and performance improvements throughout the game.
- Skip the NewGame prompt if there is no saved data.
- Improved character skin material quality.
- Level design improvements, geometry clean-ups and performance optimisations.
- Improved some character hair and groom assets.
- Fixed hard lighting lines during certain cinematics.
- Fixed brightly coloured lighting artefacts on certain assets within levels.
- Cinematic camera focus fixes.
- Enhanced lighting passes throughout the entire game (levels and cinematics).
- Improved readability and consistency of text during cinematics.
- The climbing system now shows a deflect reaction when hitting an unclimbable, additionally, it will not allow the player to slam into the air.
- Fixed dangling legs from clipping through each other during climbing gameplay.
- Reduced pop-in, floating and/or clipping assets throughout the game.
- Added previously missing gameplay face animations for characters.
- Enabled capsule shadows on all shadow quality levels.
- Chapter 9 now has a Martian dust storm.
- Improved volume of credits music.
Besides broadly improving on Deliver Us Mars, our team has spent countless hours making the coolest shots throughout the game, and we are very interested in seeing what you will make of this!
